After allegedly being involved in a shooting that led to one of his best friends being dead, and him being arrested and charged with attempted murder, rapper Troy Ave is reportedly suing the venue where the turn of events took place.
According to local outlets, Troy Ave, whose real name is Roland Collins, has filed a lawsuit against New York’s Irving Plaza. The lawsuit reportedly stems from claims that Irving Plaza and the entertainment company responsible for the event, Live Nation, took minute security measures on the night of the shooting, thus allowing for a gun to be brought inside of the venue. The suit alleges that the poor security measures ultimately aided in the shooting which involved the Brooklyn rapper.
Ave is currently out on a $500,000 cash bail. Other stipulations of his release include an 11 pm curfew, ban from clubs, arenas, stadiums, and bars, confinement to the state of New York, and the submission of his passport.
