A controversy is brewing between Donald Trump and Meghan Markle ahead of his visit to the UK after learning that Markle has voiced some pretty extreme opinions about him.
Trump called the comments made by the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle- “nasty” after she described him as “misogynistic.”
In old footage that has surfaced of Markle speaking about Trump who was still a candidate for the presidency, in an interview, Markle joked that she might stay in Canada (where she was filming “Suits” at the time) if Trump was elected.
According to Yahoo News, upon learning about her comments, Trump responded by saying: “I didn’t know she was nasty.”
Trump is headed to the UK for his first state visit on June 3. It was previously announced that Meghan would not be meeting with Trump when he visits next weeks as she’s still on maternity leave.
Trump will be meeting with a number of members of the royal family, including the Queen, Prince Charles and Meghan’s husband, Prince Harry.
