Donald Trump is big mad about everything, but what’s important. This time around, the soon-to-be-former White House President is upset that US fashion magazines didn’t offer his wife Melania Trump a cover shoot during his “presidency. Not even one.
On Friday, Trump tweeted about his wife, calling her “the greatest of all time” when it comes to First Ladies. HA! He also retweeted a Breitbart post that said, “Elitist snobs in the fashion press” were ostracizing the “most elegant First Lady in American history.”
“Fake News!” Trump tweeted.
Supporters of Trump and his wife have long noticed that Melania was absent from US new stands and called out the media for their liberal favoritism—referencing to Forever First Lady Michelle Obama to support their argument.
Mrs. Obama gracefully graced the cover of 12 magazines during her two terms as First Lady, and rightfully so. She even scored the cover of Vogue three times.
In April 2019, Vogue editor Anna Wintour showed her political stance during an interview with CNN, “You have to stand up for what you believe in, and you have to take a point of view.”
Actor and Trump supporter James Woods tweeted earlier, “If you need any further proof of the shameless bias of the liberal mainstream media, the most stunning First Lady in American history has never graced our nation’s major style magazine covers.”
It’s not our fault Vogue readers and other magazine publishers saw Melania’s true colors after her private phone calls were leaked of her discussing Wintour’s decision to allow Beyonce guest-edit an issue of the magazine earlier this year.
“Anna gave the September issue of Vogue cover – complete, complete, complete, everything – to Beyoncé,” the First Lady said on the July 2018 call, leaked to NBC.
“She hired a Black photographer. And it’s the first Black photographer ever doing cover of Vogue.”
Imagine knowing you’re highly disliked but still have the audacity to whine about your wife not being on the cover of a US magazine, despite the fact you left the country in turmoil. But we are talking about a narcissist; in his head, he and his wife are loved, so go figure.
The greatest of all time. Fake News! https://t.co/jiWjLrynQW
