A Joe Biden campaign bus traveling from San Antonio to Austin, Texas, was surrounded and aggressively harassed by multiple vehicles with Trump signs that attempted to slow down the bus and run it off the road.
According to CNN, a Biden campaign official claimed the vehicles were a “Trump Train group.”
These caravans are known in parts of the state to organize events that involve their cars, decorated with flags and Trump paraphernalia. Their objective is to drive around to show support for Trump. The group reportedly yelled profanities and obscenities and then blockaded the entire Biden entourage while driving on the interstate.
At one point, the campaign bus slowed down to roughly 20 mph on Interstate 35, the campaign official said. The vehicles also slowed down to try to stop the bus in the middle of the highway. The source claimed nearly 100 cars were surrounding the campaign bus. The event reportedly rattled Biden staffers, the source told CNN, but no one was hurt.
Staffers on the bus eventually called 911, and local law enforcement arrived to assist the bus to its destination. The Biden campaign decided out of what was described as an abundance of caution, to cancel an event scheduled for later that day in Austin, the aide said.
Meanwhile, Trump has already posted a video of the Biden Bus being harassed by his aggressive supporters with the caption “I Love Texas.”
