Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden had a “really wonderful, warm conversation” about the coronavirus pandemic on Monday, Trump said.
At Monday’s daily briefing, Trump said, “He gave me his point of view, and I fully understood that, and we just had a very friendly conversation.”
Trump and Biden agreed not to share the details of the conversation but did say that Biden offered the Celebrity in chief “suggestions” on how to tackle the outbreak.
While it was a good talk, Trump said, “It doesn’t mean that I agree with those suggestions.”
Biden’s deputy campaign manager said in a statement that the former Vice President “expressed his appreciation for the spirit of the American people in meeting the challenges facing the nation.”
The call came after White House advisor Kellyanne Conway said Joe Biden should “offer some support” to Donald Trump.
