Donald Trump stirred controversy once again, this time by comparing recent violence targeting Tesla to the January 6 Capitol insurrection, and suggesting the Tesla unrest was worse.

Speaking during an interview on Thursday, Trump said, “Look at what they did to Tesla. You didn’t have anything like that on January 6.” Speaking on Tesla cars being vandalized.
Trump used the incident as a way to defend those charged in connection with the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot, where hundreds of his supporters breached the U.S. Capitol in an effort to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
He went on to argue that the legal system is being weaponized against him and his allies, while others, including those who damage property in environmental protests, are treated more favorably.
