Donald Trump thought being the president of the United States would be a cake walk in comparison to life as a businessman turned reality star. Unfortunately for us, he was wrong.
On Thursday, Trump reflected on his first 100 days in office.
“I loved my previous life. I had so many things going,” Trump told Reuters in an interview. “This is more work than in my previous life. I thought it would be easier.”
“I like to work, that’s not a problem,” Trump continued. “But this is actually more work.”
Trump said that one of the things he missed about his old life was driving. As the president, he is heavily surrounded by Secret Service members who protect him. When he travels, it’s by limo or guarded SUV.
“I like to drive,” he said. “I can’t drive anymore.”
According to Trump, he often turns to his outside friends and former business colleagues for advice and positive reinforcement. He also opened up about not attending the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington on Saturday because he felt that he had been treated unfairly by the media. However, he plans to make the next one.
“I would come next year, absolutely,” Trump said.
