A Trump supporter has been charged with assault after he forcefully exhaled onto two women outside of Donald Trump’s Virginia golf course.
Another day, another Trump supporter getting caught doing something nasty and weird. On Saturday, 61-year-old Raymond Deskins was caught on camera pulling air into his mouth and blowing on two unidentified women who asked him to get away from them and pointed out that he wasn’t wearing a mask. Protestors and supporters had gathered outside of Trump National Golf Club, where Trump was going to play.
The video was shared on social media. In the video, one of the women tells the man, “That’s assault,” after blowing his breath on them. “I breathed on you,” Deskins replies; he then again breathes on them. An anti-Trump protestor told CBS News that Deskins came from across the street to where they were gathered as groups waited for Trump’s arrival.
While masks aren’t required to be worn outside, a Virginia mandate orders residents to wear their masks in certain locations, the outlet reports. After the incident, members of the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors sent a letter to law enforcement officials seeking a full investigation. The sheriff’s office said police didn’t see the altercation and that the video didn’t capture the whole incident. The sheriff’s office told the women they can seek a warrant through a country magistrate.
Deskins was charged with misdemeanor assault.
