In the early hours of Sunday morning, the Black Lives Matter mural outside of the Trump Tower was once again vandalized.
Around 12:20 a.m., police believe protestors poured black paint or tar covering the full length of the bold, yellow, and to some, controversial sign.
Since July, the mural, which Trump described as a “symbol of hate,” has been vandalized two other times by repeat offenders.
39-year-old Juliet Germanotta has been involved in both previous incidents, acting alone the second time.
Charged with criminal mischief both times, Germanotta seemed confident and fearless in continuing her behavior, telling NBC New York that “she would come back to deface the mural.”
According to NBC New York, “when a bystander said she would go to jail, Germanotta said, ‘I don’t care. There’s no bail’.”
While it is easy to assume Germanotta’s affiliation, police have yet to identify any suspects by name.
