The Washington Post reported on Saturday that Donald Trump asked top health advisers why they wouldn’t allow the coronavirus to “wash over the country,” infecting whoever is in its path.
Trump, eager to start up the economy, posed an unimaginable scenario to a Dr. Fauci, no COVID-19 precautions would be initiated so that people could become infected, with some recovering to create immunity, sources tell the Washington Post.
”Why don’t we let this wash over the country?” a question Trump repeatedly asked in the Oval Office. The Post reports that Fauci responded to Trump’s inquiry by saying,” many people would die.”
Trump’s comments during that raise of the outbreak indicate his consideration of such a scenario just to get the economy booming again despite the repercussions.

Trump is on record repeatedly saying that the “cure cannot be worse than the problem itself,” meaning that saving lives comes second to saving the economy, claiming that more people would die from a weak economy than the COVID-19.
Last month Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick went on Fox News and said, “lots of grandparents out there are willing to take a chance against COVID-19 to save the economy.” Dan Patrick added he would put his own life on the line to “keep the America that all Americans love.”
Boris Johnson, Britain Prime Minister, stated last month that Britons should “take it on the chin, take it all in one go and allow the disease to move through the population.”
Johnson didn’t think it was a bad decision to allow Britons to attend mass sports events. Ironically, Johnson found himself in the intensive care unit after testing positive for COVID-19. The Prime Minister is no longer in intensive care but remains hospitalized.
The Prime Minister later implemented social distancing guidelines after reports predicted Britain’s death toll to reach 250,000 and upward of 1.2 million in the U.S. if strict social distancing and quarantine measures weren’t taken.
Trump’s consideration in allowing COVID-19 to run rampant throughout every state and U.S territory would have ended life as we know it.
Thank God for Dr. Fauci and the health experts across the nation.
