TSA Ramps Up Mask Mandate, Violators Face $250 Fine and Repeat Offenders Up To $1,500

The Transportation Security Administration is cracking down on people who refuse to obey mask requirements. TSA will fine violators a $250 fine for not wearing a mask, and the fine goes up for repeat offenders.

“Based on substantial aggravating or mitigating factors, TSA may seek a sanction amount that falls outside these ranges,” the agency said.

According to CNN, Delta Airlines has banned 950 people for violating its mask requirement.

The Federal Aviation Administration has also stated that it will crack down on disruptive passengers on flights and those that become physical with crew members over wearing a mask.

The mandate started earlier this week. People will be required to wear face coverings in train stations, airports, trains, buses, and airplanes.
