Elon Musk thought he was on to something when he tweeted about his coronavirus test results. After receiving two positive and two negative results during his four rapid COVID-19 tests, the SpaceX CEO tweeted that “something extremely bogus is going on.”
He proceeded to get dragged as “Space Karen” by Twitter user Emma Bell, and it quickly went viral.
“Rapid antigen tests trade sensitivity for speed. They return a result in <30 minutes, but can only detect COVID-19 when you’re absolutely riddled with it,” she tweeted. “What’s bogus is that Space Karen didn’t read up on the test before complaining to his millions of followers.”
Of course, Twitter got ahold of the tweet, and #SpaceKaren began trending, spawning memes of Musk donning the signature “Karen” haircut.
The following day, Musk tweeted that he more than likely has a mild case of the virus.
