Beyonce declined to perform at this year’s Grammy Awards, showed up late with her husband, Jay-Z, and still managed to steal the evening.
Beyonce stood stoically next to an excited Meghan Thee Stallion to accept the Best Rap Performance award for “Savage.” When exiting the stage, host Trevor Noah asked the two ladies to pause. Noah then announced that Queen Bey made history by tying for the most Grammy wins ever by a female artist.
Beyonce hardly reacted to the news, as if tying Grammy records was no big deal, much to Twitter users’ delight. Most users could relate to the mood Bey was serving, calling her a whole “mood.”
Following her “Savage” win, Beyonce broke the record with her Best R & R&B Performance win for “Black Parade.”
