Singer John Legend has been named the sexiest man alive by PEOPLE magazine, joining the likes of The Rock, Blake Shelton, and Idris Elba, who was awarded the title last year.
PEOPLE announced the news on Tuesday, Legend celebrated the achievement on Twitter, saying, “1995 John would be very perplexed to be following 2018 Idris Elba as #SexiestManAlive.”
“Hell, 2019 John is about as equally perplexed, but thank you, PEOPLE, for finding me sexy. I’ll take it,” he continued. Legend’s wife, model, and author Chrissy Teigen, also tweeted her excitement of being married to the 2019 “sexiest man alive.”
“My secret is out. I have fulfilled my dream of having boned PEOPLE’s sexiest man alive!! An honor!!!!!”. Teigen said before she updated her Twitter bio to read, “currently sleeping with people’s sexiest man alive.”
Although Teigen and Legend were beyond excited about the singer’s new title, social media didn’t seem too happy about the newly crowned sex symbol.
