Rolling Stone has released its list of 200 greatest singers of all time to kick off the new year. The list is filled with singers of all genres ranging from Aretha Franklin to Frank Sinatra, Bob Marley, Michael Jackson and Jazmine Sullivan.
Since its release, Twitter has erupted in what seems to be disbelief and disappointment, as many feel that the list isn’t a true reflection of what they deem the greatest singers of all time, especially without the mention of grammy award winner Celine Dion.
what do you mean celine dion is not on the rolling stone list??? pic.twitter.com/iIK4yNvQIx

One singer, in particular, is Rihanna. The “What’s My Name” singer has been trending since the announcement of her Super Bowl performance. She’s now trending due to her 68th spot on the list, which many feel is underserved.
So according to Rolling Stone, Rihanna is a better singer than Kelly Clarkson, Alicia Keys and Michael Jackson.
And Talyor Swift, Jung Kook and Lana Del Rey are better than Kelly Clarkson.
How about Celine Dion, P!nk, Bruno Mars and Tom Jones?
Seriously?

The order of the list is in question as well. Some tweets included throwback videos of Jazmine Sullivan and Michael Jackson showcasing their vocals at a young age.

Rolling Stone placed Jazmine Sullivan at 182 on their “Greatest Singers” list, like she wasn’t 11 years old singing like this. Not an ounce of fr in that publication pic.twitter.com/CcOhZB9eF2

It seems like Rolling Stone has some explaining to do.

I'm not taking any top 200 greatest singers of all time list seriously that doesn't have Patti Labelle in the top 5. Y'all are not serious. @RollingStone https://t.co/DYrV76Btht pic.twitter.com/Sfm4iGPVNN

Since Bruno is trending and "RS" left him off thier "200 Greatest Singers" list, I'm just gonna leave this here: #BrunoMars #RollingStone #RollingStoneTop200 pic.twitter.com/wX70hrdLB7

I’m sorry, but Jennifer Hudson is a better singer than 95% of the people on that #RollingStone list.
Her impact is immense. The EGOT winner’s contributions to film, theatre, music and television are undeniable. pic.twitter.com/O23poLE7P6
