On Saturday, a teen boy was shot in the head in Philadelphia and is currently in critical condition.
Police believe the shooting was an accident. However, Elijah Simmons, 19, and Caresa McFarland, 32, have been arrested.
According to KYW-TV, Simmons and McFarland were charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
Though it has not been confirmed, Fox News reported that the shooting might have been linked to a carjacking that coincided.
The 13-year-old was shot in the 2200 block of North Woodstock Street.
According to police, he was outside with neighbors when he went into a nearby residence to get his jacket. When he didn’t return, his brother went into the house to look for him but found him lifeless in the hallway with a gunshot wound to the head.
