This week, the bodies of a master sergeant and an Army veteran were found at Fort Bragg. Officials believe that foul play was involved in the men’s deaths.
Master Sargeant William J. Lavigne, 37, and Timothy Dumas, 44, were found dead in a Fort Bragg training area on Wednesday, ABC11 reported.
The publication reports that no weapon was found in the area where the bodies were located.
The deaths of the two soldiers are under investigation by the United States Army Criminal Investigation Command.Â
“The loss of a Soldier is always tragic,” Lt. Col. Justin Duvall, commander of HHC, U.S. Army Special Operations Command, told ABC11. “Master Sgt. Lavigne dedicated himself to the Army for 19 years and deployed multiple times in the defense of our Nation. Our condolences go out to his family during this difficult time.”
