Two people were killed, and five others were injured during a shooting that took place at a gathering in Yuma, Arizona, Saturday night.
Police were called to a downtown Yuma residence just before 11 p.m. for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, authorities located multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
A 19-year-old man was brought to the hospital in a private vehicle before police arrived, where he was pronounced dead. A 20-year-old man was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center by the fire department, where he succumbed to his injuries.
A 16-year-old victim was taken to the hospital and subsequently airlifted to a trauma center, where he succumbed to his injuries. Four other teenagers between the ages of 15 to 19 were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the Yuma Medical Center.
Lt. Craig Johnson said that no suspect or suspects have been identified, but authorities do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the public. The shooting remains under investigation.
Police are asking that anyone with information about the shooting to contact the Yuma Police Department. A $1,000 reward is being offered for any information that leads to an arrest.
