Two men accused of punching a Nardo Wick fan have surrendered to authorities, TMZ reported.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the suspects Zachary L. Benton, 34, and a 15-year-old male turned themselves in to the Tampa Police Department Friday night.
They are charged with felony battery. The 15-year-old has also been charged with minor in possession of a firearm while wearing a mask.
Authorities also learned that the suspects aren’t close friends to Nardo.
The two men are accused of attacking George Obregon Jr. after he walked up to Nardo after a show. He was punched by two people who were walking out of the venue with the rapper. Authorities also told the outlet that Benton is the one who first punched Obregon and the 15-year-old ran over and punched him several more times.
The victim’s mother has since spoken out about the incident, saying her son just wanted a picture with Nardo. He was taken to the critical care unit of a hospital with a severe concussion and brain bleed. We do not know his current condition.
Nardo has also made a statement on the senseless incident, apologizing but also blaming the suspects.
