Some of the infamous Montgomery Riverfront brawl suspects are finally being served their dose of justice.

Two of the five suspects who participated in the massive jumping of a Black boat operator who was asking them to move their vessel have pleaded guilty. Mary Todd pleaded guilty to harassment. She has been ordered to undergo anger management classes within 90 days. Richard Roberts pleaded guilty to more severe charges, two counts of assault. He was sentenced to a four-month suspended sentence and must spend weekends in Perry County Jail for a total of 32 days. Additionally, he must complete 100 hours of community service and fork over $714 in court costs.

The cases against the remaining defendants, Allen Todd and Zachary Shipman, remain ongoing. Reggie Ray, who is accused of using a folding chair to hit two people during the brawl, has also been charged with disorderly conduct.

Dameion Pickett, the co-captain of the Harriot II riverboat, and 16-year-old deckhand Daniel Warren were the victims in the viral altercation. Pickett was trying to reason with the passengers of a boat to move over a few feet to allow the Harriot II to dock. However, he was met with resistance, and when he exited the ship to speak with the white passengers, Pickett was jumped. Warren came to his aide, as did other Black witnesses on the dock, including Ray. The teen was credited for swimming across the river to assist Pickett, something he previously stated was simply the right thing to do.
