Ty Dolla Sign gave his Coachella crowd a special treat when he surprised them with a performance from his incarcerated brother.

During his set, Ty paused to share an emotional moment: a video of his brother, Big TC, singing from behind bars. A live choir on stage harmonized with TC’s vocals as his image appeared on a giant screen, filling the festival grounds with his voice.
Ty has long supported his brother, who is serving a 67-year-to-life sentence at Calipatria State Prison in California for murder. He named his 2015 debut album “Free TC” in honor of him and has continued to spotlight his story through his music.
The surprise added a heartfelt touch to Coachella’s second weekend, which also features headliners like Lady Gaga, Green Day, Travis Scott, and Post Malone. Other viral highlights include Missy Elliott’s Transformers-inspired intro, Flavor Flav dancing with Yo Gabba Gabba! characters, and Yeat covering Drake’s “Feel No Ways.”
