The film community is mourning the death of Tyler Perry’s studio president, Steve Mensch, who died in a plane crash on Friday.
Mensch, at just 62 years old, tragically lost his life when his single-seater aircraft crashed onto a road in Homosassa, Florida. The accident, reported by TMZ, occurred around 8 p.m. while Steve was flying the aircraft himself. Local news outlets indicated that the plane crashed on West White Dogwood Drive near the intersection of US 98.
This is a massive loss not just for the entertainment industry but for those who knew Steve as a loving family man, survived by his wife and three children. Steve’s career was marked by significant achievements—overseeing Perry’s 300-acre studio in Atlanta, where major productions like “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks” and “The Walking Dead” were filmed.
