Miami Dolphins’ fans received promising news about the star player’s recovery.

Tyreek Hill will not need a second surgery following a major procedure on Tuesday to repair his dislocated left knee and torn ligaments, including his ACL. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that the operation “went very well according to his doctors.”

“It’s about rehab, and he will play next season,” Rosenhaus said. “The realistic goal is the start of the season.”

Hill sustained the serious injury during the Dolphins’ win over the Jets on Monday night. Coach Mike McDaniel also offered a bit of optimism, saying doctors had “good things” to say regarding any nerve damage, which is often a concern with dislocations.

Hill has been one of the league’s top receivers since joining Miami, second only to Justin Jefferson in receiving yards. Without him, Miami will rely more on Jaylen Waddle, Darren Waller, and breakout running back De’Von Achane to fill the offensive gap. The team has also brought back Cedrick Wilson Jr. from the Saints’ practice squad.

Miami has dealt with major injuries before, including to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and linebacker Jaelan Phillips. McDaniel emphasized the team’s resilience, saying the Dolphins are used to adjusting on the fly.
