Mike Tyson says he’s never spoken to Jake Paul about a boxing match.
TMZ says there was a previous report that Tyson and Paul allegedly chatted about putting some gloves on and getting in the ring. But Tyson says no such thing ever happened. On Monday, the world’s heavyweight champ responded to the news on Twitter, saying he knew nothing about it.
“This is new to me. I just saw Jake in St. Barths and he never mentioned it,” Tyson, 55, wrote in response to a story published by The Sun.
The news outlet claimed the two were in “advanced talks” for a boxing match priced at $49 million, TMZ reports. However, Paul, 25, won’t be getting that chance.
