A British teen has been suspended from school for selling squirts of hand sanitizer to his classmates to defend themselves against the coronavirus.
The teen’s mother, Jenny Tompkins, posted about her son’s money-making scheme on her Facebook, where hundreds of thousands of people have weighed in on it, as some even praised the teen’s business idea. “Very hard to discipline this behavior when his dad phones him from work to call him a f—ing legend,” Tompkins wrote. She says her son’s profit of $11 was used on a bag of Doritos and a kebab after selling” squirts” for $.64 each.
Tompkins told Metro she didn’t consider her son’s actions an “excludable offense” and “told him off,” but wouldn’t be punishing him any further.
