The investigation into the death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson has taken an unexpected turn, with new evidence emerging late Wednesday night.
Police say they recovered a cellphone and water bottle at the crime scene, along with six 9-millimeter rounds—three discharged and three live.
Disturbingly, words like “deny,” “defend,” and “depose” were etched into several bullet casings left at the scene.
Investigators believe these cryptic messages could be the key to understanding the killer’s motive.
As you know, Thompson was gunned down at 6:40 a.m. Wednesday outside the Hilton Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, where he was headed for an investor meeting.
Despite intensive efforts, the suspect remains at large, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
