An unlicensed Missouri daycare provider has been arrested after one of the babies she was watching died.
On Tuesday, police in Springfield, Missouri, arrested 47-year-old Deborah Lundstrom in connection to the death of an 8-month-old baby. On March 2, police say Lundstrom left her North Washington Avenue residence for about 12 minutes, leaving nine children under the age of three in the home unsupervised, reports NBC News.
Before leaving, the woman put the 8-month-old in a car seat before she left. When she came back, the infant wasn’t breathing, and she called the police. The baby was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital. An investigation into the baby boy’s death is ongoing, NBC News reports.
Lundstrom was charged with involuntary manslaughter, endangering the welfare of a child resulting in death, endangering the welfare of a child resulting in substantial risk and operating a child care facility without a license. She’s now being held at the Greene County Jail.
