Apple requires its unvaccinated employees to get tested for COVID-19 daily.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, more and more companies have started to implement vaccine mandates, and others have opted to require workers to be tested for the virus weekly. Apple announced that it would require its unvaccinated workers to be tested every time they come into the office instead of working from home.
Back in September, Apple asked its employees to give out their vaccination status at their discretion. Those who chose not to share their status would be required to get tested daily, and those who are vaccinated would only have to do rapid testing once a week, Bloomberg reports. Retail workers won’t have to get tested daily.
Apple has yet to release information about if and when it will implement a vaccine mandate. Still, Joe Biden has given federal contractors until December 8 to put a vaccine mandate in place.
