A Las Vegas woman thought her good looks would keep her out of jail. Instead, she got a first-class ticket to the slammer, charged with murdering her mother.
Hend Bustami was arrested Wednesday in California for stabbing her mom, Afaf Hussanen, to death at their Vegas home. Hours before she was apprehended, Bustami frantically called 911 at around 2:34 a.m., stating, “I think I killed my mommy.” She didn’t provide any more information and instead fled the scene. When police responded to the home on June Flower Lane, they discovered the 62-year-old deceased with multiple lacerations.
When police caught up with her, she was covered in blood, driving down Interstate 15 near Barstow. Bustami admitted to police that she argued with Hussanen before fatally stabbing her with shards of glass.
Back in August, Bustami was confronted by officers for failing to pay the bill at a restaurant at Harry Reid International Airport. She reportedly claimed the officers were harassing her because they’d “never seen anyone as pretty as her.” She even accused them of trying to rape her because of said beauty. She was charged with public misconduct.
Now, the woman is facing a much more severe charge of open murder. It is unclear if she has retained an attorney.
Hopefully, her stunning looks will help her survive the upcoming decades behind bars.
