Two-time NBA champion Vernon Maxwell is again making headlines for his heated comments. However, the former Houston Rockets guard recently took to social media to blast ex-Golden State Warriors guard Vincent Askew for allegedly not repaying a $10,000 loan he borrowed from Maxwell.
“I want all my NBA brothers to know one thing about this one n*gga, that’s in our fraternity,” Maxwell began.
The retired guard went on to claim that Askew has been asking other NBA players for funds despite not paying off his debts and urged them to not lend out any money to him, regardless of the excuses.
“He a sucka a** n*gga. He ain’t sh*t. If this n*ga call you and ask you for any type of money, this n*gga is lying. … The n*gga’s name is Vincent Askew. Do not give that n*gga f*cking dime. That n*gga is broke. Talking about he just got out of a divorce. Do not f*ck with this broke a** n*gga. This n*gga me $10,000,” he continued. “I want my money from you b*tch a** n*gga.”
It’s unclear what led to Maxwell calling out Askew, but according to the video clip, Askew was untruthful about his reasoning for the $10K and is having issues with giving the funds back to Maxwell.
“I had to come to this motherf*cking platform to let everybody know about your broke a** n*gga,” Maxwell said. “N*gga Vincent Askew, I need my motherf*cking bread. Ima put this sh*t out on your b*tch a** over here on this platform n*gga. But like I said, do not f*ck with this n*gga Vincent Askew. Don’t give that n*gga a f*cking dime…I just had to get that off my chest this morning but remember, all of my NBA brothers, this n*gga is calling all of us. He already beat me out of $10,000 and I don’t know who else he probably beat out of money. So, Vincent Askew, f*ck you n*gga.”
