VH1 said Thursday that it has cut ties with Black Ink Crew’s Ceaser Emanuel after a video of him abusing dogs surfaced online.
Wednesday blog site Gossip of the City released shocking footage of Ceasar kicking a dog before beating it with a foldable chair. In the clip, Ceaser is also seen tossing another dog in a small cage. After the video went viral, the reality tv star was quickly called out by former employee and show castmate, Donna Lombardi, who accused VH1, Viacom, and “Black Ink Crew” producers of protecting the tattoo artist.
Thursday VH1 took to Instagram to inform fans the network will no longer be working with Ceaser.
“We have made the decision to cut ties with Cesar Emanuel from Black Ink Crew New York,” the statement read. “Since next season was close to finishing production, the decision will not impact the upcoming season.”
Ceasar has not commented on the video or the network’s decision.
