Former Houston Astros minor-leaguer, Danry Vasquez has been kicked off a professional team in Pennsylvania after video surfaced of a domestic violence incident with his girlfriend. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Vasquez was arrested back in 2016 for the incident, where he assaulted his girlfriend in a Texas stadium. However, the case was dropped after the girlfriend refused to press charges. As a result, Vasquez went on with his life with a career.

He eventually signed with Lancaster Barnstormers of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, since the Astros’ minor league affiliate dropped him in the wake of the incident. He was also ordered to complete anger management as a form of probation. However, once the terms were complete, the case was formally dismissed on March 6.

Now though, in the wake of the resurfacing of the surveillance footage from the incident, Vasquez has lost his job and has been reduced to a woman beater. (Well, at least that’s what his Wikipedia page says.)

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“There is no choice but to sever the relationship,” the team’s manager said in a statement. “Neither I nor the Barnstormers’ organization as a whole, can condone or associate with that behavior.”

In the video obtained by KRIS-TV, Vasquez is seen walking into the stairwell at Whataburger Field in Corpus Christi with his girlfriend on Aug. 2. When the door closes behind him, he immediately slaps his girlfriend across the face. He then grabs her hair and drags her down the stairs before hitting her again. He then leaves and returns to hit her once more, making her fall to the ground.
