Video footage has officially become an athletes worst enemy. From dragging women out of elevators to beating them with belts, cameras have caught a lot of athletes doing some pretty questionable things. Now 19 year old FSU freshman quarterback, De’Andre Johnson has been caught on camera punching a 21 year old female FSU student in the face in a Tallahassee bar.
Johnson was charged with battery last month for punching a woman in the face. In the video footage, Johnson and the victim seem to be arguing. Johnson is grabbing her and she swings at him, he then swings back, clocking her right in the face. Following the assault he walks away. Sadly, the men sitting right at the bar offered no intervention. According to records, the woman was waiting to order at the bar when Johnson tried to push past her. When she confronted him, he grabbed her arm, she swung, and he punched her in the face.
Since the incident, Johnson has been placed on an an indefinite suspension.
