Former NFL star Vince Young was arrested in Austin, TX on a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated.
Young, who lived in Austin while attending the University of Texas, was booked into Travis County Jail at 12:46 a.m. Monday morning. Young appeared before a judge who set his bail at $2,000.
Vince Young, 32, played 6 seasons in the NFL after being drafted third overall pick by the Tennessee Titans in 2006. He currently serves as a diversity and community engagement officer in the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement at the University of Texas in Austin. He also helps raise money to support the division’s many educational programs.
