The trailer for Showtime’s The First Lady has been released where we see Viola Davis’ full transformation into Michelle Obama.
The upcoming drama will also feature Michelle Pfeiffer as Betty Ford and Gillian Anderson as Eleanor Roosevelt.
The series is said to focus on the “personal and political lives of the country’s most enigmatic figures.”
O-T Fagbenle will star as Barack Obama. Lexi Underwood and Saniyya Sidney will play the Obama daughters, Malia and Sasha; Aaron Eckhart is Gerald Ford in the series with Jake Picking starring as a younger version of the former President. Susan Ford, daughter of Betty and Gerald, will be played by Dakota Fanning. Kiefer Sutherland will play a young Franklin D. Roosevelt, while Christopher Plummer will star as an older portrayal.
The show premieres on April 17 on Showtime.
