By now, you’ve probably seen the viral video of an American Airlines passenger having a meltdown exiting the plane while proclaiming the now internet-famous words “that motherf—r back there is not real.”
It turns out the outburst stemmed from an argument over AirPods.
The woman in the video, identified as Tiffany Gomas, was kicked off the Orlando-bound plane last month following her disruptive behavior, which led to hours of delay, the NY Post reported. Per police reports, the Dallas-based marketing executive had to be escorted off by staff.

Police records also revealed that the entire ordeal started over an argument Gomes got into with relatives she was traveling with. She apparently accused them of attempting to steal her AirPods.
“The female then started claiming the aircraft was not safe and did not want the aircraft to leave due to her believing it would not make it to its destination,” the July 2 complaint obtained by the Post reads.
“Due to the statements the flight attendants felt the aircraft needed to be rescreened. [The airline manager] explained that the passenger was denied boarding and they wanted her escorted to the public side.”
As a result of Gomes’ outbursts, the remaining passengers were instructed to deplane and undergo another security screening by TSA.
Based on the complaint, Gomes was brought to a non-secure area of the airport but subsequently attempted to re-board the plane. Law enforcement eventually caught up with her and issued a criminal trespass warning, but she declined to sign it and was never detained.
