A video clip has gone viral on social media after speculation that an Arizona Wildcats player touched a cheerleader’s chest following the team’s 85-80 overtime victory against Texas Christian University.
Officials from the University of Arizona and TCU have reportedly been in communication after Sunday’s game because of an incident that seemingly showed Wildcat guard Bennedict Mathurin touch the chest of a TCU cheerleader on his way to the locker room.
Controversy arose as many speculated on social media as to whether or not Mathurin actually touched the TCU performer and if he did — did he do it intentionally?
The 19-year-old sophomore, who scored 30 points in Sunday’s game is currently considered one of the top prospects in this year’s NBA Draft, has not addressed the incident or its growing controversy on Instagram or Twitter.
Ummmm…did the Arizona go later just give the TCU cheerleader a tap? pic.twitter.com/VbVRLoqp2V
