The late fashion designer Virgil Abloh inspired Disney’s limited edition collection.
The collection expands on the Brooklyn Museum’s “Figure of Speech” exhibition and features never-before-seen artwork of Mickey Mouse showcasing Abloh’s unique interpretation of the Disney character. Mickey Mouse is featured on t-shirts and hoodies for children and adults, which shows Abloh’s endless creativity in fashion.
The hoodies retail between $50-$120, whereas the tees retail between $30-$65.
This isn’t the first time Disney has partnered in the fashion world. HighSnobiety reports there was Disney x Stella McCartney, Disney x Givenchy, Disney x Gucci, and Disney x Marc Jacobs, just to name a few.
Virgil Abloh died in November 2021 after battling a rare, aggressive form of cancer. He was the founder and CEO of Off Whiter and the artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear. He was only 41 years old.
