A fight at Waffle House caused the restaurant to go viral during its founding anniversary.
On Sept. 5, 1955, the iconic southern breakfast joint was founded in Avondale Estates, Georgia. Waffle House has become the go-to place for a quick breakfast stop during any time of the day.
It’s also become famous for the slew of fights that just so happen to take place there. The latest has driven the restaurant to go viral on Twitter.
Over the weekend, a video was posted online, showing a group of people inside Waffle House, standing near the restaurant’s counter.
“You should have never said that to us,” a woman says to a man sitting down at the counter. The woman can be seen accompanied by other women. The man is sitting alone. As the group of women and the man seemingly go back and forth in a verbal confrontation, a Waffle House worker eventually intervenes and starts pulling the man out of the establishment. That’s when the man turns around and throws a punch at the Waffle House worker causing a full-blown fight to break out.
And now Twitter is reacting. “This what you go the Waffle House for. The food ain’t even that great, but you go for the experience. You supposed to see a fight, see a nigga get caught with his side bitch, pick up a sneaky link, see the workers argue, maybe a shootout That’s why we fuck with the Waffle House,” said one Twitter user.
“I aint neva seen a Waffle House Employee lose a fight,” said another user.
Now, Black Twitter is going down memory lane of all the fights that have taken place at Waffle House.
