Rapper Wale took to his Instagram to announce that he would be taking a social media hiatus following a recent health scare.
The “On Chill” star made the shocking revelation on Wednesday, sending fans swarming to his comment section to leave their well-wishes. Though he did not go into much detail regarding the circumstances of his illness, he revealed that he’d been battling it for nearly a week.
“I am out of commission. I been extremely sick since Saturday I’ve missed many calls and texts.. Thank you to everybody who called wit genuine concern. I ain’t sure how long I’ll be down but this shit ain’t slight… Soon as I can come back strong I’ll be back strong.”
The 36-year-old is quite the staple on social media, interacting with supporters and often posting on his platforms, so news that he would be stepping away for a while left many to believe that he may be gravely ill.
In his absence, Wale announced that his management would be running his accounts.
