Walmart is helping out current college graduates by fast-tracking their careers. In efforts to recruit, Walmart is helping soon-to-be college graduates by promising them manager positions.
As reported by Fox Business, the College2Career program is designed for recent grads and current students who are within 12 months of graduating. The program will enable them to become managers within two years. Around 600 recent graduates and 300 current college graduates have signed up for the program.
If performs exceed in the program, they will be granted an “emerging coach” role with a starting salary of $65,000. Top performers in the program will have tons in store if they take Walmart up on the offer. College graduates will be able to step into the role, while recent graduates will be hired immediately.
In addition to the College2Career program, Walmart also offers a 12-week private fleet development program. As part of this program, new truck drivers can earn a starting salary range of $95,000 to $110,000 for their first year.
Walmart also offers other benefits for students like the Home Office internship program and a 12-week private fleet development program. Though Walmart has been the heart of much backlash from customer service to cleanliness, the company is trying to move forward with younger generations.
Fox Business adds that Walmart employees account for 2.3 million associates worldwide, with 1.7 in the United States alone.
