Columbus Short likes to skip court dates and for that, yet another warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Back in March Short was arrested for sucker punching a guest at an engagement party in LA and for that he faces felony assault and was set to appear in court yesterday. Unfortunately, he didn’t so the judge has issued a bench warrant. Short was already out on bond for missing the court date for his wife’s assault. The judge has now revoked his bond and doubled his bail.
Columbus Short is currently living in Atlanta and according to his lawyer he was bumped from his flight from Atlanta and is now seeking alternative transportation to avoid being arrested at LAX upon arrival. His lawyer says his no-show was due to circumstances beyond his control. Problem is, that was yesterday. Maybe it’s just me but couldn’t Columbus have booked a flight prior to Monday?
A new court date has yet to be set. If found guilty, Short faces up to four years in prison.
