The mother of Nipsey Hussle’s daughter is wanted by the LAPD after she missed a scheduled court appearance in a DUI case. A bench warrant has since been issued for her arrest.
Tanisha Foster was charged with a DUI in Los Angeles a few years ago and pled no contest to one of the charges, receiving three years probation. She, unfortunately, missed a May 15th court hearing, which resulted in her probation revocation and warrant.
According to TMZ, the warrant for Foster’s arrest doesn’t come at a good time, as she is currently in the middle of a custody battle over the daughter she shares with late rapper, Nipsey Hussle. Nipsey’s family believes Foster is unable to care for her daughter, Emani, properly and have petitioned for his sister Samantha Smith to gain custody of her.
A custody hearing was held last week, during which Tanisha broke down in tears, claiming it had been months since she spent time with Emani. The judge cleared the courtroom and gave her 20 minutes with her daughter before proceeding with the hearing. A judge has yet to rule on custody of Emani.
The warrant may prove to help the family’s case against Foster, as she has several other crimes on her record, including vandalism, annoying phone calls and disturbing the peace.
