So I think it’s about time we discuss the Golden State Warriors. With a 15-0 start, the Warriors have officially tied for the best start in NBA History. The only other teams to start a season with a record of 15-0 were the 48′-49′ Capitols, and the 93′-94′ Rockets. The funniest part about it, is that the team has done all of this with their Head Coach Steve Kerr at home recovering from back surgery.
“It’s kind of a quiet confidence that we don’t feel like we’re going to lose anytime soon,” Steph Curry said when asked about the record. “The way we’re playing … we can get even better.”
Now this isn’t necessarily new territory for this Warriors squad. Before they were champions, they were the record breakers of the 2015 season. Last season they became the 10th team to win at least 67 games in a season, set the franchise record for both road and home wins, among others. On top of the team’s accolades, multiple players set records including Klay Thompson’s 37 points in one quarter and Curry’s 276 3-pointers in a season.
The Warriors have a chance to break the record Tuesday against the Lakers.
