Yesterday we reported that Dez Bryant had been arrested on misdemeanor family violence charges. Details are slowly coming out and now we finally learn the identity of the victim, Dez’s mother.
Dez turned himself in to police yesterday after police obtained a warrant on the family violence charge. The incident occurred Saturday night when Bryant got into an altercation with his half brother that resulted in him shoving his mother Angela. Police were called to the home but no arrests were made. Angela nor Dez’s half brother needed to be taken to the hospital for injuries. Law enforcement further reviewed the case however, and issued a warrant for Dez’s arrest, leading him to turn himself in to DeSoto Police. Bryant was charged with a Class A misdemeanor for assaulting a female family member punishable by a fine of up to $4,000 and up to a year in jail and possibly a breach of the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
