Was Percy Harvin Traded After Punching Golden Tate For Sleeping With Russell Wilson’s Wife?

Okay, there is a crazy NFL rumor going around that may shed some light on why Seahawks Percy Harvin was suddenly traded to the New York Jets. The Seahawks have yet to speak on the real reason Harvin was traded but it’s buzzing that anger issues may be the cause. He had a confrontation with Russell Wilson this year, a fight with receiver Doug Baldwin during preseason and during Super Bowl week, Harvin punched teammate Golden Tate. Why he punched Tate is unknown but the streets are talking — they’re saying it’s because Tate slept with Russell Wilson’s ex and broke guy code.

Here’s what we do know, the day before the Super Bowl, Harvin and Tate got into a fight in the team’s locker room. The fight was broken up by teammate Michael Robinson who said that after the two ironed things out, they were seemingly over it. If you look closely at the team’s Super Bowl photo, you’ll see Golden’s left eye is still kind of cut up.

Back in April/May it was rumored that Golden Tate and Russell Wilson’s wife of two years were having an affair. Shortly after Russell Wilson filed for divorce and Tate was traded to the Detroit Lions. Tate took to Twitter back in May to deny the rumors, but it came off like more of a rant and did nothing but make people believe it even more.
