The domestic abuse charges against Redskins’ linebacker Reuben Foster have been dropped.
Foster was arrested in Tampa, Florida on Saturday, November 24 after his ex-girlfriend Elissa Ennis claimed Foster hit her in the face while trying to take her cell phone. She then called the police who arrived at the team hotel.
Reports show the charges were dropped due to “issues with the witness’ credibility.” Ennis is the same woman who previously accused Foster of abuse but later recanted her statements. Ennis claimed she lied out of anger after Foster allegedly broke up with her.
Foster was set to appear in a Tampa courtroom on Thursday morning for an arraignment on domestic violence charges, but the hearing was cancelled. Foster’s charges were dismissed on January. 2.
