Wellness Resorts Where You Can Get Your Zen On

Wellness Resorts Where You Can Get Your Zen On

Personal wellness is at an all-time high. People have turned to self-care routines through fitness regimes, detox methods, and stress relief techniques to better their mental and physical health.

According to a 2019 report by the Global Wellness Institute, nearly 18% of Americans participate in mindful movement, or a combination of yoga, meditation, and breathing exercises, to foster emotional well-being.

Wellness resorts that focus on health and rejuvenation are also on the rise. There are many around the world specifically designed to help you rediscover yourself mentally and physically, clear your head, and recenter yourself. Check out a few below.

Return to Yourself Retreat at Spa Village Resort, Tembok Bali

YTL Hotels‘ Spa Village Resort is an all-inclusive Yoga & Wellness facility designed with solo women travelers in mind. The resort offers Yoga classes, guided meditation, and spa treatments in a peaceful, beautiful beachside setting.

There is a three-night minimum stay with prices starting at $240.

Carillon Miami Wellness Resort, Miami, Florida

Trip Savvy voted Miami’s Carillon Miami Wellness Resort the best for high-tech treatments. Designed with a different setup than typical wellness resorts, this beachfront stay offers one- and two-bedroom luxury apartments. The resort also boasts a 70,000-square-foot spa and fitness facility, which has been said to be the most significant wellness center in South Florida. Each apartment features floor-to-ceiling windows and a kitchenette.

At the wellness facility, guests can indulge in the hydrotherapy circuit, which has an essential oil-scented steam room, a Finnish sauna, a storm room, and an herbal laconium. The facility’s high-tech, “touchless” wellness therapies include a technology-enabled meditation pod and a saltwater “float” bath. As an added perk, the resort has a team of wellness experts and practitioners who can address concerns, from respiratory and circulation challenges to personal and relationship development.

Canyon Ranch Woodside, Woodside, California

The all-inclusive luxury resort is a chain business, but its Woodside location is nestled between Redwoods and plush greenery. Guests can partake in the many wellness activities, including yoga, meditation, tai chi, hiking, and kayaking.

An advantage of this location is that everything is added to the price. So there’s no need to worry; all meals and snacks, unlimited use of the spa, pool, and fitness facilities, and access to nature trails are included.

Grand Resort Bad Ragaz, Switzerland

The U.S. isn’t the only country encouraging self-health. Switzerland’s Grand Resort Bad Ragaz is a sprawling multi-hotel health resort complex dubbed “Europe’s Leading Wellbeing & Medical Health Resort.”

Its spa offers an array of treatments, including an inpatient rehabilitation clinic. But what’s more astonishing is that the accommodation didn’t leave children unchecked. It also has a Heidi-themed family spa.

YO1 Wellness Catskills, New York

In Sanskrit, “Yovan” means youthful, and New York’s YO1 Wellness Catskills was created to help guests attain eternal youth through mind, body, and spirit rejuvenation. The resort is set on 1,300 acres and features the guidance of expert practitioners, with customized, holistic treatments and Mindful meditation offered.

One advantage of the property is that the menu includes organic meals with “conscious cuisine” made to detox and nourish, as well as a juice bar and tea cafe. The resort also has a 68,000-square-foot Wellness Center, a 5,000-square-foot indoor pool, jacuzzis, and a fitness center that’s 24 hours.
