Bravo has postponed the premiere of “Celebrity Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition” after “Real Housewives of Potomac” star Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Eddie Osefo, were indicted on multiple counts of fraud in Maryland. The episode featuring the couple was originally set to debut on October 14th, but will now air on October 21st with a new lineup.
Court documents reveal the Osefos are accused of filing false insurance claims totaling nearly $450,000 following a reported home burglary last April. Authorities say many of the luxury items claimed as stolen had been returned for refunds before the alleged break-in. Wendy faces 16 counts, including insurance fraud and making false statements to police, while Eddie faces 18 counts.
In a statement shared with Us Weekly, a spokesperson said, “Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward Osefo, are back home safely with their family and in good spirits. They are grateful for the outpouring of concern and support… and look forward to their day in court.”
The Osefos, married since 2011 and parents of three, are scheduled to appear in court on November 7th. Bravo has yet to confirm whether Wendy will still appear at BravoCon next month.
