Late last month, Wendy Williams, the Queen of All-Media, found herself at the center of a series of “Hot Topics,” from her husband’s alleged cheating scandal and subsequent love child to allegations of self-medication as a result of her recent upper-arm injury.
Amid the allegations and in the wake of the injury, the famed talk show host took a planned holiday hiatus to nurse herself back to health, with intentions to return after the New Year on January 7. However, after the date came and went, the host took to Instagram to announce another minor setback.
“Wendy Williams will be returning with all-new episodes of The Wendy Williams Show on Monday, January 14, 2019,” the post read. “After fracturing her shoulder, Wendy is on the mend and wants to return pain-free and be 200%, delivering the best show that millions of viewers tune-in to watch.”
But, while the show will return on the 14th, Williams will not return to her position until the following week. Instead, according to the show’s distributor and producer Debmar-Mercury, the show will return with a panel of “Hot Talkers,” until Williams’ January 21st return.
Panelists for next week’s shows have yet to be revealed.
